New Jersey Retirement Asset Protection Laws
New Jersey laws protect the following retirement assets from creditors:
- annuity contract benefits, limited to $500 per month;
- teachers' pension and annuity fund benefits;
- public employee retirement system benefits;
- judicial retirement system benefits;
- police and firemen's retirement system benefits;
- old age assistance benefits; and
- state police retirement system benefits.
