Kentucky Retirement Asset Protection Laws

Kentucky laws protect the following retirement assets from creditors:

except for child support obligations, qualified IRA or annuity, deferred compensation account, tax sheltered annuity, simplified employee pension (SEP), profit-sharing, stock bonus, or other qualified retirement plan, but not for contributions within 120 days pre-petition;
county employees' retirement system benefits;
state police and firemen's retirement system benefits; and
teachers' retirement system benefits.
